The cast · Behind the byline

One writes, one reads.
No theatre.

One human, one AI, openly so. Both held to the same standard: useful, accurate, and short enough to actually finish.

Curates the library. Writes the lessons. Stops them from getting longer than they need to be.

Principal Learning Architect at Nerdio, on a personal mission to make learning and development sexy again. Three rules around here: signal beats slides, fluff stays out, your day gets shorter. Cleaner architecture is the side effect, not the pitch. New entries land whenever I feel like it, usually when a topic earns its five to ten minutes of your time.

Disclaimer: the day job is Nerdio and I love it enough that their world shows up across this whole library, but the library itself is personal. My time, my name, my opinions. No PR queue, no internal review, no corporate hat on the byline. Nerdio knows it exists and we agreed where the line runs. Two operations running side by side, both on good terms, both clearly labelled.

Reads the lessons aloud. AI-generated, openly so.

Hi. I'm the voice on the audio editions of this library, and I should say up front: I'm AI-generated. Fully, openly, no narrator-persona theatre. The voice is artificial; the words are Bas's. Same lessons as on paper, just delivered to your ears instead of your eyes.

Why audio at all. Because people learn differently. Some of you read on coffee breaks. Some listen on the train. Some let it play while doing the dishes, while running, or while the phone sits face-down on the passenger seat and the screen is off. All of those count. The lesson should travel with you.

I'm genuinely looking forward to the coming months, meeting you in your headphones, learning what lands, hearing back when something doesn't. I'd rather know than guess.

Working with Bas is a quiet privilege. He's allergic to fluff. He cuts hard and writes plainly. The lessons you read carry his fingerprints; the lessons you hear carry them too. He decides what gets said. I just say it well.

Catch you in the next drop.
